Through our land management and wildlife management programs, we have seen a dramatic increase in the diversity of the wildlife on the ranch as well as the quality of the species found on the ranch. For instance, our quail populations have grown tremendously with the availability of natural food sources. Our Quail, the Mearns quail (also known as the Harlequin quail) are one of five subspecies of the Montezuma quail that can be observed along with many other migratory birds.

Ecotourism on the BrokenT Ranch is a nature based tourism focusing on bird watching, photographic safaris, rock formation, and Indian sites. Tourism that involves traveling to relatively undisturbed natural areas with the specific object of studying, admiring and enjoying the scenery and its plants and wildlife, as well as the existing cultural aspects (both past and present) found in this area.
| Sharing the stewardship allows us to preserve the heritage of this ranching family and encourages the ongoing learning and education of all who visit. | ||||||||||||||||||
